Humans Are Getting Help From UAVS

Technology has been enhanced for the safety of the people and the evidence are the robots that have cameras, sensors and microphones are finding the persons suffering from the misery of flood conditions. Their homes and rooftops which are flooded have been assessed by these robots and the damages are evaluated by them. Cameras are used to take the photos to send them back. These are those affected areas which cannot be reached by the rescuers.

The idea of robots to be built to connect the responders with survivors in emergency situation was first implemented in 2005 and now if a comparison is done with that, after 10 years, many improvements can be observed in the technology. With the help of latest technology, the handling of many matters of the life has changed and these robots can work more in a more efficient way to provide the victims in case of any disaster more relief and better way for the protection of the lives.

One of the robotic professors, Dr. Robin Murphy who is also the director at Centre for Robot Assisted Search and Rescue, has said that the potential can be seen in the working of Drones which are invaluable UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).

Drones are working as a lane does in the smoother way and it has the function of doing preprogram research by taking photos similar to what satellite does and after that they are given back by combining them into a 3-D reconstruction.

UAVs, for example Precision Hawk Lancaster which is a drone with fixed wing can not only help the people who are doing the duties of responding the victims of the disaster, by sending them the photos but also they assist in finding them a valued means to identify the method to get relief for the victims. According to Murphy, you cannot doubt on its accuracy and also there is no difficulty in picking it up and moving it.

Robots also have the ability to perform more than one efforts to provide relief at a time. UAF may have been used by one of the groups so that the survivors may be found out and at the same moment, data would have been gathered by another group to see what model of flooding are there in the flow of storm and the information is upgraded which would provide directions to the other groups.

If the number of drones practically performing the tasks are increased, it would be easier for the researchers to know more about their functioning and the abilities. They would be able to know that with how much accuracy, these robots can actually work.

A drawback has also been discussed by Murphy which is that a drone can create disaster by becoming a hurdle in the way of efforts being made for the rescue of the victims. These robots are thinking that they are helping them but they actually are disturbing the real efforts being done
